  • Condition: Good with one of the two hanging strands broken (1 is intact). I have a few loose beads found with this piece (from the hanging strand), and will include them. Missing one lower left, loop of beads. Beads on the fabric portion are intact and secure. Light patina to fabric, but quite nice for age. Please read entire description and enlarge photos to view. From a non smoking home.

    Description
    ------- Dated 1913, this is a genuine, 109 year old, Native American made, whimsy Wall Pocket, heavily beaded. Most call these Iroquois made. Multicolor glass, seed and larger, beads are tightly sewn in wreath or pinwheel shapes, to khaki cotton twill fabric, with a waxed linen backing. Two pockets on front, perhaps for matches.
    Loss of one strand of the lower left dangling loop, and a broken hanging strand with bed loss (there’s one intact strand still there.) See photos, please.
    I’ve taped the ends of the broken hanging strand to prevent further bead loss. (You can tuck this behingpd for display.)
    6” x 8”, approx. not including top hanging strand.
    1913 dated - WWI /WW1 era, lucky 13
    NOTE the khaki fabric, which may indicate WW1 uniform fabric.
