    Description

GORGEOUS old pair of Blackfeet gauntlets from northern Montana. Lots of stylized floral beadwork on Indian brain tanned hide. Looks to be deer hide. Lined with an old floral material inside and loaded with wonderful traditional stylized floral designs on the cuff. The Blackfeet were originally a woodlands tribe and were driven west by the Ojibwa and although they adopted the geometric designs of the plains they never forgot their woodlands history. Beads are all 1920-30s era with a lot of carnival glass. A nice pair that are ready to use or display and they have NO RESERVE !
