    US Army General Staff Badge. Worn by US Army Colonel at SHAPE in the early 1950's after WWII. Good condition, never sold. Two inch version, not a reproduction. Approx. 70 years old.
    The Army General Staff ID Badge is worn by those who serve at the Office of the Secretary of the Army and the Army Staff at the Headquarters, Department of the Army. General Douglass MacArthur proposed the General Staff Badge in 1931and was approved in 1933 by the War Department. The badge has the United States Coat of Arms superimposed on a black enamel star with laurel leaves behind it.
