Southern Arapaho Strike-a-lite / 1880

Description

A pouch constructed from commercial leather and native tanned hide, decorated in sinew-sewn seed beads. The obverse is fully beaded on the bodice whereby a translucent orange square is framed in navy blue. The flap hosts blue horse tracks on a white field. The base seam is ornamented with tin cone suspensions.
