    Pair of Plains Native American Fetishes Beaded on Deer Hide - Tops are fully beaded with blue, pink, yellow and red beads. An assortment of trade beads and tin cones decorate the limbs of the fetishes.
    These umbilical cord fetishes were used to store an umbilical cord, which the Plains Indians did to be used as a protection piece. The mother would make them and keep them until the child became an adult then give it back to them. This particular fetish is
