Description
Here is a nice example of early Cree floral beadwork. Very nice early bead colors. I believe all of the beadwork and construction is thread sewn, which was very typical of their work. Very, very minor bead loss which I will try to show in the pictures.I do not see any repairs that I know of. The hide looks to be a lightly smoked deer hide. The hide is in pretty good shape. The tabs at the top are just a little bit stiff as is the fringe at the bottom. There looks to be a beautiful early calico cloth lining the bag. There are four beaded rosettes that look to have red trade cloth centers ; two on each side. I never use a reserve ; the bag will speak for itself. Thank you for taking the time to consider this auction and happy bidding.
