ANTIQUE / VINTAGE / 1890s N. PLAINS CROW INDIAN FULLY BEADED TARGET POUCH

Description

Wonderful old example of a fully beaded ( on one side ) target pouch from the Crow of s.e. Montana. It is beaded on old Indian brain tanned hide and hand sewn with old cotton thread. It has lots of nice early greasy blue beads as well as crow pinks, cobalt blues, and an almost greasy green with a greasy white border. Made for a personal amulet these are commonly called a " target pouch " by traders based on the appearance as well as they were often hung around the neck and near the position of the wearer's heart .... It has a LOW NO RESERVE PRICE !
