Description
This listing is for a pair of Hercules flathead 6 cylinder engines that came from a pair of 1936-1949 Diamond T pickups or small trucks. They both came with a 1947 Model 201 pickup that I recently sold here on eBay. The new owner plans to use a different chassis under that pickup and has no interest in this pair of engines. Both of these engines were painted gray originally so I am sure these are not from some other application. The engine with the oil pan in place is stuck and does not turn. Both of these engines were left uncovered outside in Oregon for a few months before I got them. They are now stored here out of the weather. This parts group consists of two cylinder blocks, two crankshafts, 6 piston & rod assemblies, at least one camshaft, one oil pan, one generator, one radiator fan, one distributor, one intake & exhaust manifold assembly, one carburetor, one water pump assembly, two cylinder heads (one has been welded), one thermostat housing - water outlet and most likely some smaller parts I have missed mentioning. Except for a starter, flywheel and air cleaner, there should be most of the parts here to build one engine and have several usable items left over to sell to someone else.
I can place this pair of engines on a pallet for shipping by truck if you like. I am estimating that truck freight would be at least 0 or perhaps more.
I plan to head to the mid-west and then down to Mississippi in about 10 days or so and can deliver these engines along my route for free. I will leave Mississippi and head up to Connecticut, then on to New Hampshire and finally back home to Montana. I also have several friends that travel throughout the USA that may be able to deliver these engines for a nominal fee depending on where you live. One friend is heading to the Denver with an empty pickup in the next 2 or 3 days. Thanks a lot, Bob Woodburn
I will list more information and photos soon. I have a 4 speed transmission from the same truck that I will list here separately. Thanks a lot, Bob Woodburn
