The musical starred RICHARD EASTON as "Fagin" and MARTI WEBB as "Nancy" and included nineteen year-old CAMERON MACKINTOSH as one of the "Londoners". Other in the cast included TOMMY MANN, IAN PIGGOT, ANTHONY GILLS, LESLIE STONE, JOHN JOHNSON, PAMELA RITCHFORD, AUDREY LEYBOURNE, BARRY HOWARD, SHEILA COLLINGS, PATRICIA GRAY, MARK JOHNSON, MIRIAM MANN, PAUL HALEY, JAMES URQUHART, JACK LYNN and HILDA CAMPBELL RUSEELL ..... Biographical note: CAMERON MACKINTOSH was born in Enfield, London on October 17th, 1946. He first knew that he wanted to become a theater producer after his aunt took him to see a matinee of the Julian Slade musical "Salad Days" when he was eight years-old. Mackintosh has been described by the "New York Times" as the "most successful, influential and powerful theatrical producer in the world." Among his production credits are "Les Miserables", "Cats", "The Phantom of the Opera", "Miss Saigon", "Mary Poppins", the West End revival of "Oliver!" and the London production of Lin-Manuel Miranda's "Hamilton". Mackintosh's Delfont Mackintosh Group owns eight London theaters; the Prince Edward, the Prince of Wales, the Novello, the Queen's, the Gielgud, the Wyndham's, the Victoria Palace and the Noel Coward.
